Secretary’s report: Read minutes from April 16, 2026, homeowners meeting; motion to approve; seconded; carried.
Treasurer’s Report: Treasurer reported the April 2026 beginning (April 1) and ending (April 30) balances in the following accounts: General Operating Account; Sewer Plant Account; Popular Bank Loan Balance (what’s still to be paid off); Capital Reserve Balance; Reserve Study Account Balance; Motion to approve the treasurer’s report; seconded, carried. A complete copy of that report is filed with these minutes.
Member-at-Large Report: Bob Gates listed the kinds of concrete work being done during this season: a driveway, a patio; looking at sidewalk and other similar repairs. Ohio EPA has a new PFA test of water, to be performed twice per year at cost of $50 each time; still awaiting results of Winelco’s test for this new test. April tests for the routine things (e.g. lead, chlorine) were good.
Maintenance report: Herman Schiller reported the sewer plant running well in this spring season of only moderate rain; a number of trees are to be trimmed, have some limbs or branches removed due to location over roofs; some porch railings yet to be repaired; yard lights: some are on all day and night; the electrician who will do that work is presently out of town; tree work for 3347 and 3354 Flowerdale will be rescheduled REMINDER: if you have a maintenance concern in your own limited common area or you notice a need in any part of the common areas, please obtain a maintenance request form from the board secretary. Remember, this form will also be available to print out from the Village website presently under construction.
Social Committee Report: For the committee, Cheryl Vermillion reported good attendance and responses to the various activities planned for April; encouraged people to take advantage of social activities still to come in May. Looking ahead to June and a Father’s Day special occasion; more on that in Social Committee June newsletter.
President’s comments: Proposed website is under construction and should be up and running soon, at end of May or early June. There will be no uploads posted by individuals; the purpose of the content posted is to keep owners informed about things that concern the community as a whole; LAWN CARE: President Weigandt acknowledged the problems with the lawn service crew in recent weeks: not keeping grass out of the mulched flowerbeds when trimming is the newest problem and will talk to the crew leader about this and other specific concerns. One owner recommends the mowers slow down a little, that their fast turns cause the mowing machine tires to burn the grass. Another pointed out how unlevel our lawns are (a consequence of the original construction the president pointed out).
Comments from the Floor: Question from a newer resident about who maintains each yard’s lamp posts and mailbox, newspaper box and their stand(s). Answer: Maintenance; Solution: provided a maintenance request form that the owner promptly filled out and handed to board member.
Motion to adjourn: made by president; seconded; carried.
Meeting adjourned at 10:21 a.m.
